Bcm4310 wireless know the card works natively, because I am using one right now. However, I have noticed that since I upgraded to Hardy, my download speed has noticeably slowed down.
An Internet connection is required. Just add " contrib non-free" to the end of your bcm4310 wireless line. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs- upstream- testing' tag.

This can bcm4310 wireless done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs- upstream- testing' text. Please let us know your results.

Latitude E Package: linux-image- 2. I'm having the same issue, which started after I did an automatic bcm4310 wireless in Ubuntu Jaunty 8. The wireless card was detected and working fine until this update.
Now the network card doesn't show up in the Bcm4310 wireless network-manager or ifconfig. Previously it was assigned eth1. I will try testing with the upstream kernel. I'm not able to test with the latest development release of Ubuntu at the moment as this is my office laptop. Tested with the upstream bcm4310 wireless that matches my previously installed Ubuntu kernel.
The firmware is proprietary, so it would not be included in any Linux distribution. So I found these instructions on the openSUSE forums about ndiswrapperwhich acts as a wrapper bcm4310 wireless native Windows drivers and bcm4310 wireless Linux to use them, and have modified them to be applicable to more distributions. So in case anyone needs to get that Broadcom BCM wireless card working, here goes.
